About me
Lover of traveling, a good sense of humor, learning, and all things ART! I have an MAT from UNC at Pembroke in Art Education and hold a BA from UNC at Chapel Hill in Psychology. This is my fifth year teaching art at West End Elementary. I have lived in North Carolina my whole life but love to travel--from climbing Mt. Fuji to cappuccinos in Cinque Terre to hiking the Atlas mountains. This summer I hiked the Appalachian Trail and Zion—east coast to west coast. One recent trip took place in Germany with fellow academics for an in-depth look at the work of Marc Chagall, specifically during and after World War II. My why is to celebrate with my students that we are all a work in progress and a masterpiece simultaneously.
