2026 Moore Learning Conference
Friday August 21, 2026 1:30pm - 2:20pm EDT
Limited Capacity full
From August-December, 2026, Moore County teachers will highlight themes related to the 250th celebration of America's independence through school-wide lessons and announcements. In this session, K–5 teachers will review selected texts and accompanying read aloud plans that have been intentionally chosen to reflect key moments, diverse perspectives, and foundational ideals in the nation’s history. By the end of the session, teachers will leave with a clear understanding of the monthly read-aloud sequence, increased confidence in facilitating rich discussions around complex topics, and practical strategies to ensure that these lessons both honor the significance of America 250 and support literacy development across grade levels.
