This session will look at the High Leverage Practices based on evidence based strategies for HLP 8/22: Providing Positive and Constructive Feedback to Guide Students Learning Behaviors and HLP 9 Teaching Social Behaviors. This session is designed for any and all staff in order to learn more strategies to promotive positive classroom behaviors.
The goal of this training is to build staff understanding of how special education HLP 10 can be intentionally integrated into FBA and BIPs to increase proactive support, teach replacement behaviors and improve student independence and behavioral outcomes.
HLP Grant initiative for AES, CAR, and SPE. K/1st grade instructional assistants will learn about the most important HLPs that they can incorporate into the classroom alongside their classroom teachers and EC Teachers.
In this session, staff will explore the research behind play-based learning and how it builds foundational skills in communication, social-emotional development, problem-solving, and early literacy and math concepts. Teachers will examine what high-quality play looks like in the classroom and learn how to move from passive supervision to purposeful facilitation of learning during play.
