The goal of this training is to build staff understanding of how special education HLP 10 can be intentionally integrated into FBA and BIPs to increase proactive support, teach replacement behaviors and improve student independence and behavioral outcomes.

In this session, staff will explore the research behind play-based learning and how it builds foundational skills in communication, social-emotional development, problem-solving, and early literacy and math concepts. Teachers will examine what high-quality play looks like in the classroom and learn how to move from passive supervision to purposeful facilitation of learning during play.
