In this session, staff will explore the research behind play-based learning and how it builds foundational skills in communication, social-emotional development, problem-solving, and early literacy and math concepts. Teachers will examine what high-quality play looks like in the classroom and learn how to move from passive supervision to purposeful facilitation of learning during play.
This training on structured teaching provides educators and support staff with practical strategies to create organized, predictable, and visually supported learning environments for students with autism and significant cognitive disabilities.
